Mini-Grants
This year, SPRING is offering grants to our network institutions to support course mini-grants for faculty members. Our network institutions, Duquesne University, University of Pittsburgh and Waynesburg University will disburse mini-grants to professors who are conducing a service-learning course in the spring 2009 or summer 2009 semesters.
The Collegiate YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Cares are available to help connect faculty members to community organizations willing to partner with service-learning classes.
The mini-grant project is funded by Learn & Serve and PA/NY Campus Compacts. We encourage mini-grants for projects which address the needs of disadvantaged youth in their service component.
